APPLICATION TYPES PAINTING WORK PROCESS AND ITS CHECKING POINTS

EQUIPMENT:-

1) 4″ Brush

2) M.S Patti

3) Ladder

4) Mug

5) Steel Scraper.

6) Mask

7) Sand Paper

8) Putty Mixing Machine

9) Bamboo Scaffolding Material,Kathya/Coir Rope,Safety Belt

OBD PAINT  WORK PROCESS : –

1) Ensure the Specification of Material & Location of Application & its Finish.

2) Ensure that all Internal Finishing work Gypsum, Tiling & Electrical Work Completed, also QAD NOC for the same.

3) Ensure that all walls are sufficiently dried. No dampness/leakages observed.

4) Ensure that Main Door Shutter & Aluminium Window are Fixed.

5) Put on the mask before starting any scraping/painting activity, while cleaning the surface ensure Doors & Windows are closed/covered so as to prevent spreading of paint smell /emission.

6) First clean the the wall surface with wire brush, Sand paper (150 grit) or blade (patra) to remove all loose material (Cement mortar/gypsum).

7) Pre-wet/dampen the wall with water by brush or roller.

8) Mix putty of approved brand with water in ratio 2:1 . Mixing should be done by machine to make thick paste. Maximum 10kg of putty mix with 5 litre of Water at one time.

9) Apply first coat of putty with blade starting from bottom upwards. Keep the thickness of 1 Coat upto 1.2mm.

10) Wait for complete drying, it takes 3 to 4 hrs.

11) No need of sanding after 1 coat. Apply 2 coat of putty with blade. Thickness of 2 Coat is nearly half the thickness of 1 coat (i.e 0.6mm).Keep total thickness of putty(1 + 2 coat) upto 1.8mm on gypsum surface.

12) Sanding the surface after 2 days with fine Emery paper(400 grit) to remove blade scratch mark & make surface smooth.

13) Check the consistency of Oil Bound Distemper by mixing water with 3:1 ratio.(It may change/differ by Brand to Brand)

14) Apply 1 Coat of Paint from Top to Bottom with 4″ brush than finish immediately with roller applied Vertically & Horizontally.

15) After complete drying of 1 Coat,apply 2 coat of Paint as above procedure.

16) Before applying 3 coat ensure that all electrical accessories /door fitting & melamine Polish door shutter to be covered.

17) Ensure that all dents/scratches/undulation properly filled & finished.

18) Ensure all touchup marks work to be painted before 3 coat painting.

19) Apply 3 coat paint with proper paint cutting at wall & ceiling with most care of application with same above procedure.

20) Ensure that no brush mark, air bubble, roller strip, shine.

21) Clean all the paint stain after painting.

 

LUSTER PAINT WORK PROCESS : –

1) Ensure the Specification of Material & Location of Application & its Finish.

2) Ensure that all Internal Finishing work Gypsum,Tiling & Electrical Work Completed,also QAD NOC for the same.

3) Ensure that all walls are sufficiently dried.No damages/leakages observed.

4) Ensure that Main Door Shutter & Aluminium Window Fixed.

5) Put on the mask  before starting any scraping/painting  activity,while cleaning the surface ,ensure Doors & Windows are closed/covered so as to prevent /emission.spreading of paint smell

6) Clean the surface by Sand Paper No 100 for wall & Ceiling & clean by Dry Cloth.

7) For 1st Coat of primer of approved brand, mix 1 litre primer to 100ml of Turpentine thoroughly.

8) Apply 1 coat primer with brush uniformly.

9) Drying period for Primer minimum 12 to 24 hrs.it should not be elongated more than 15 days.

10) Prepare lambi by mixing 20kg whitening powder with 6 litre of water & 2 litre of oil paint .

11) Apply lambi with Palti patra in line & level.

12) Ensure proper finish at dhar ,kutch & Jambs.

13) After completely drying of 1 coat lambi , apply 2 coat as per above procedure with proper surface finish.Thickness of lambi should not be more than 2mm including 1 & 2       Coat.

14) Ensure surface should be in line, level without any undulation. 15) After completely drying of 2 coat, lambi start sanding by the wall surface with sand paper No.150 & clean     with dry cloth.

16) Prepare the Aster (Base) coat paint by mixing 1 litre of Primer with 1 litre of oil paint(1:1 Ratio) & add 300ml Turpentine in the mixture.

17) Apply Aster (base)coat by brush & finish immediately by roller Apply it Vertically & horizontally.

18) Next day any cracks/surface damage, scratches observed will be filled by putty & paint touchup.

19) After completing crack filling & paint touchup, 1 coat of Luster paint should start.

20) Prepare mix for luster paint by mixing 1 litre of luster with 100 to 125 ml of Turpentine.

21) Apply 1 Coat of luster with brush & finish immediately by Roller Vertically & horizontally.

22) Ensure finish/texture as per approved sample / requirement. 23) Minimum drying period is 24 to 48 hrs.

24) Ensure surface should be completely dry.

25) Before applying 2 coat ensure that all electrical accessories /door fitting & melamine Polish door shutter to be covered.

26) Ensure all touchup work done with paint before final painting wherever required.

27) Apply 2 coat of luster paint with proper paint cutting at wall & ceiling with most care of application with same above procedure & mix.

28) Ensure that no brush mark, air bubble, roller strip, shine.

29) Clean all the paint stain after final painting

 

NG PLASTIC PAINT WORK PROCESS : –

1) Ensure the Specification of Material & Location of Application & its Finish.

2) Ensure that all Internal Finishing work Gypsum, Tiling & Electrical Work Completed, also QAD NOC for the same.

3) Ensure that all walls are sufficiently dried.No damages/leakages observed.

4) Ensure that Main Door Shutter & Aluminium Window Fixed. 5) Put on the mask before starting any scraping/painting

activity,while cleaning the surface ,ensure Doors & Windows are closed/covered so as to prevent spreading of paint smell /emission.

6) Clean the surface by Sand Paper No 100 for wall & Ceiling & clean by Dry Cloth.

7) For 1stCoat of primer of approved brand, mix 1 litre primer to 100ml of Turpentine thoroughly.

11) Apply lambi with Palti patra in line & level.

13) After completely drying of 1 coat lambi , apply 2 coat as per above procedure with proper surface finish.Thickness of lambi should not be more than 2mm including 1 & 2Coat.

14) Ensure surface should be in line, level without any undulation. 15) After completely drying of 2 coat, lambi start sanding by the wall surface with sand paper No.150 & clean      with dry cloth.

16) Prepare the Aster (Base) coat paint by mixing 1 litre of Primer with 1 litre of oil paint(1:1 Ratio) & add 300ml Turpentine in the mixture.

17) Prepare the Aster (Base) coat paint by mixing 1 litre of Primer with 1 litre of oil paint(1:1 Ratio) & add 300ml Turpentine in the mixture.

18) Apply Aster (base)coat by brush & finish immediately by roller Apply it Vertically & horizontally.

19) Next day any cracks/surface damage, scratches observed will be filled by putty & paint touchup.

110)After completing crack filling & paint touchup, 1 coat of Plastic paint should start.

17) Prepare mix for Plastic paint by mixing 1 litre of Plastic paint with 500 ml of water.

18) Apply 1 Coat of Plastic paint with brush & finish immediately by Roller Vertically & horizontally.

19) Ensure finish as per approved sample / requirement. 20) Minimum drying period is 24 to 48 hrs.

21) Ensure surface should be completely dry.

22) Before applying 2 coat ensure that all electrical accessories /door fitting & melamine Polish door shutter to be covered.

23) Ensure all touchup work done with paint before final painting wherever required.

24) Apply 2 coat of Plastic paint with proper paint cutting at wall & ceiling with most care of application with same above procedure & mix.

25) Ensure that no brush mark, air bubble, roller strip, shine.

26) Clean all the paint stain after final painting

 

OIL PAINT ON POP/GYPSUM WALL : –

1) Ensure the Specification of Material & Location of Application & its Finish.

2) Ensure that all Internal Finishing work Gypsum, Tiling & Electrical Work Completed, also QAD NOC for the same.

3) Ensure that all walls are sufficiently dried No dampness/leakages observed.

4) Ensure that Main Door Shutter & Aluminium Window are Fixed. 5) Put on the mask before starting any scraping/painting activity,while cleaning the surface ensure Doors & Windows are closed/covered so as to prevent /emission.spreading of paint smell

14) Apply 1 Coat of Oil Paint from Top to Bottom with 4″ brush than finish immediately with roller applied Vertically & Horizontally.

15) Leave the paint surface to dry at least One Day.

16) Before applying 2 coat ensure that all electrical accessories /door fitting & melamine Polish door shutter to be covered.

17) Ensure that all dents/scratches/undulation properly filled & finished.

18) Ensure all touch up marks work to be painted before 2 coat painting.

19) Apply 2 coat paint with proper paint cutting at wall & ceiling with most care of application with same above procedure.

20) Ensure that no brush mark, air bubble, roller strip, shine.

21) Clean all the paint stain after painting.

 

OIL PAINT ON M.S RAILING /SURFACE : –

1) Ensure 1 Coat External Paint should completed before starting of Oil paint to M.S Railing/Surface.

2) Clean the surface by sand paper & scraper to remove loose particle, mortar etc.

3) Clean the surface by dry cloth to remove dust & powder.

4) Apply Zinc Chromite as a primer coat by mixing 1 litre of Zinc Chromite with 150ml of Turpentine.

5) After completely drying of Primer, 1 coat of Oil paint is applied by mixing 1 Litre of oil paint with 150 ml of Turpentine.

6) Use 1″ or 2″ brush as required for application.

7) Ensure that surface should be dried completely before starting of 2 coat of Oil paint.

8) Apply 2 coat of Oil paint as per above procedure & mix.

9) Ensure there is no bubble formation, undulation, brush mark & Spots on the Surface.

 

EXTERNAL PAINTING WORK PROCESS

1) Ensure 100% R.C.C work & External Plaster work Completed.

2) Ensure all rectification work/touchup work/repair to be completed as per QAD NOC.

3) Ensure Scaffolding work with proper Bracing & Tieing with rigidity Completed.

4) Ensure all safety equipment is used such as Helmet, Safety Belt. 5) Ensure the surface by Steel scraper/wire brush or Kathya brush.

6) Remove loose particle Dust, Oil Grease, Cement Particle by Water.

7) Apply Primer Paint with mix of 1litre of primer with 1 litre of water,In case of Exterior sealer mix 1 litre of Sealer with 100ml of water ( It vary from Brand to Brand)

8) Apply with uniformly in Both Direction.

9) After drying Primer Coat/Sealer coat (minimum drying period 24 hours) it should be not elongated more than 15 days

10) If there is any visible crack after primer coat/ Sealer coat same should be filled by Crack filler.

11) Ensure the shade as per approved before start of 1 coat.

12) Apply 1 coat of Acrylic Paint by mixing 1litre paint to 400ml of water (It may vary brand to brand)

13) Apply Paint with brush uniformly with both direction.

14) Cleaning the work place & remove all paint stains immediately. 15) After application of 1 Coat, 2 Coat application should be done after min 24hrs gap.

16) If applied after gap of 7days or more than remove dust & loose particle by water.

17) Ensure Surface should be dry before application of 2 Coat.

18) Apply 2 coat with mix same as 1 coat by brush in both direction.

19) Ensure paint should be applied at every corner, nitch, patta, downtake lines etc.

20) Ensure all cleaning work at window glass frame /railing /folding shutter etc.

 

MELAMINE POLISH WORK PROCESS

1) Melamine Polishing activity start before starting of Primer paint for Wall & Ceiling.

2) Clean the Door Shutter/Frame by wet Cloth to remove Fevicol, cement particle, dust particle etc.

3) Sanding done by Sand paper No.100

4) After sanding clean the surface by dry cloth.

5) Prepare wood stain Polish of required colour/shade by mixing ½ Kg. wood stain powder with 1 Litre Turpentine & mix it thoroughly.

6) Apply the mix by hand or by brush.

7) After applying clean the surface by dry cloth.

8) Apply Melamine Sealer Coat by mixing 1 litre melamine sealer with 250 ml thinner by Spray.

9) After drying of Sealer Coat, fill the crack/holes, gaps with required colour mix & make surface uniform by whitning.

10) After completely drying, sanding is done by Emery Paper No.150.

11) Clean the surface by dry cloth.

12) Ensure all the door fittings are fixed & covered with masking tape/plastic paper.

13) French polishing is done by wet cloth in 4 to 5 coats upto required base/finish.

14) Ensure that only final coat of wall/ceiling is balance before starting of final coat of Melamine Polish.

15) After complete drying of French polish Final coat of Melamine polish is started.

16) Make Melamine mat/glass Polish as Required by mixing 1 litre Melamine with 250 ml thinner.

17) Apply Melamine Polish coat by Spray.

18) After completely drying remove masking tape & paper & clean melamine Stain.

19) After completion of Final Paint to wall Surface, buffing(cleaning the Paint stain, touch up by required colour ) for Melamine polish is Done.

 

ENVIRONMENT

1)Before the start of site cleaning, sprinkle water to reduce dust and prevent air pollution

2)Use mask, safety shoes for site cleaning and line out.

HEALTH AND SAFETY :

1)Use helmet and safety shoes for cleaning.

2)Before digging check underground utilities like, water, gas, electricity etc.

3)Ensure snake bite kit is available & used whenever required. Ensure use of sturdy & steady scaffolding.

4)Ensure use of Safety Belt.
