 WORK  PROCEDURE  FOR ELECTRICAL ROOM & INSTALLATION OF TRANSFORMER

Work Procedure:-

  • Take the necessary sanction through M.S.E.D. Co. Ltd. through licensed electrical contractor.

  • To issue a layout approved and detail drawing prepared & verified by electrical consultant.

  • Study of drawings.

  • Line out of the  Electrical  room/ transformer room.

  • Excavation for footings.

  • P.C.C. for footings.

  • Center line marking for footing column.

  • Shuttering, cutting, binding, reinforcement, casting footing, stub column, plinth beam & slab.

  • 9” thick B.B.M. for cable trenches as per the layout.

  • Back filling up to soling bottom with watering & compaction.

  • 9” thick soling mu- rum spreading, watering, & compaction for the entire plinth.. P.C.C. for plinth.

  • 9” thick BBM above the plinth openings as per working drawing.

  • Internal gypsum finish plaster.

  • External double coat sand faced plaster.

  • Slab top finish with brickbat coba water proofing with line marking 12” x 12”, 5mm thick string.

  • Cable trench cement ghotai plaster sides & bottom.

  • 12” x 12” ceramic tile flooring.

  • Fixing m. s. grating on cable trench.

  • Internal O.B.D. painting & external as per project theme.

  • Fixing of the rolling shutter size 9’0” x 10’0”, service door 5’0 ” x 8’0” two panel m.s. folding door no. as per requirement.

  • Fixing of the anodized / powder coated aluminum window bottom half in aluminum louvers & top half sliding shutters.

  • Installation of transformer – LT, HT cable panel.

  • Write the safety instructions on wall inside the room identification for cable & transformer.

  • Fixing of rubberized tiles 2’0” x 2’0” on ceramic flooring.

  • Laying & connection of HT cable coming from M.S.E.D. Co. Ltd.

  • HT pole to HT feeder pillar near our project.

  • HT feeder pillar to HT feeder pillar in transformer room then feeder pillar to transformer.

  • Laying the LT cable coming from transformer to Electrical room feeder pillar in transformer room,

  • Then connects to feeder pillar near the bldg.

  • Distribution of LT cable from feeder pillar to individual bldg. bus bar in meter room.

  • Construct ion of inspection chamber in 9” thick B.B.M. every 50’0” length with R.C.C. chamber cover.

  • Fixing of name board i.e. Electrical Room / Transformer.

  • In charge development to fill the checklist – ‘C’ duly verified & approved

Environment:-

  • During excavation sprinkle the water to reduce dust and prevent air pollution.

  • G.I. sheet as barricading to reduce noise level of machinery.

Health & Safety:-

  • Use helmet & safety shoes.

  • Before digging check underground utilities like water, gas & electricity etc.

  • Ensure snake bite kit is available in case of emergency.

  • First aid box with medicines available at site.

  • Always engage qualified and trained electrician.

  • Ensure adequate earthing before starting the equipment.
